The South African Mint released annual products from 1997 to 2020.

These Silver coins were available individually as well as in combination sets. Several series were introduced over the years. The range was discontinued after the final release of 2020.

2003 - 2006: Birds of Prey. (2003 Eagle, 2004 Owl, 2005 Vulture, 2006 Secretary Bird.)

2007 - 2008: International Polar Year.

2009 - 2011: Maritime History of South Africa. (2009 Route to the East, 2010 Mail Steamships, 2011 Passenger Ships.)

2012 - 2015: Trains of South Africa. (2012 Gautrain, 2013 Diesel, 2014 Electric, 2015 Steam Trains.)

2016 - 2020: South African Inventions. (2016 Dolos, 2017 Heart Transplant, 2018 Catscan, 2019 Polymer Putty, 2020 Retinal Cryoprobe.)
